3 Things Commuter Cyclists Cannot Live Without

Cycling is a convenient way to get around. It is also a great way to get some exercise. Having the right equipment will make your commute a lot easier.

We, at Ira Ryan Cycles, believe there are three main things that you will need for your ride.

#1 – Helmet

The helmet is the top thing that you will need to wear while riding. No one likes wearing a bulky helmet while riding. However, wearing a helmet is one of the most important things that you can do to keep yourself safe.

If you wear a helmet, then you significantly reduce your chances of suffering a head injury. You also decrease your chances of dying in an accident. It is crucial for you to choose the right helmet.

You will need to select a helmet that fits on your head properly.

A helmet that is too loose will not give you the proper protection. A helmet that is too small will make riding uncomfortable. You will also need to choose a helmet that has been approved by the Department of Transportation.

#2 – Repair Kit

You may be able to make simple repairs without taking your bike to the shop. You will need to have a small bag with the items that you need to make simple repairs. You will need a bike tube patch kit to repair a flat tire.

You will also need to have a pump for your bike. Additionally, you will need to have a good lock for your bike. This is especially important if you have an expensive bike.

#3 – The Right Backpack

#4 – GPS Computer for Cyclists

Acquiring one of the best GPS bicycle computers (with maps) is, generally, always a great idea. You can get yourself out of jam if you get lost or need to find alternative routes for some unforeseen reason.

There are several factors that you will need to consider when choosing a backpack.

You will need to select a bike backpack that is expandable. An expandable pack will be able to comfortably fit your lunch, clothing and the other accessories that you need. You will also need to choose a backpack that is the right size.

You have to be comfortable while you are riding your bike.

Your backpack should be big enough to carry all of your belongings. However, if the bag is too big, then it can be harder for you to pedal.

Having the right things will make your life as a commuter a lot easier.

You will need to make sure that you have the right helmet, backpack, and a repair kit with you when you ride. These three items will help to ensure a safer, more comfortable way of riding between destinations.
